Dr Anthony Alcock is a prominent Coptologist with many scientific works in the field of Coptology. In 2013 he translated into English for the first time the Coptic poem known as The Triadon. The author of this poem is unknown, but it is known that he wrote it in the 14th century and that it was written in Sahidic Coptic (and Arabic). His poem is the last known literary text composed in Coptic. The subject of the poem is religious, and it can fairly be said it is not of high standard but it gains specific importance in the fact that it represents the last known Coptic attempt to compose in Sahidic.

Alcock made his translation public in two parts (with Part I including an introduction):

The Triadon, tr. Anthony Alcock: Part I

The Triadon, tr. Anthony Alcock: Part II
